Shoreline Stories

This is a family friendly, accessible walk lasting approximately 1.5 hours and will follow the shoreline of Rathlin’s Church Bay and Mill Bay. This walk is all on minor roads and finishes back at our departure point in Church Bay.

Our guide will introduce the story of Rathlin, its history and heritage with a little of the island’s myths and legends thrown in. The kids can learn about the Island’s birds and their sounds and we will hopefully see the seals basking in the summer sun and learn about kelp, an industry that sustained the Island for generations and hear about the time the Vikings came to visit.
